The Drag Racing building has a collection of world famous, history making, Dragsters, Funny. The Antique building has one of the largest collections of Fords in the country, you will also see muscle cars, rare vintage automobiles and nostalgia. Easy parking and a great gift shop with autographed memorabilia, too. The Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing and International Drag Racing Hall of Fame is open daily from 9am-5pm, closed only for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Even if you are nor a drag racing fan, you will be in jaw-dropping awe when you pass through the door. Raceway Park launched the careers of several drag racers and was home to some of drag racing’s most memorable moments, including the famed Don Garlits SR30 blow over in 1986. And now in his 90s, he is frequently around this wonderful monument. Opened in 1984, it chronicles the history of the sport of drag racing. Garlits is not just the greatest drag racing legend, he is also a great story teller. The Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing is located at 13700 SW 16th Ave, Ocala.
